Here I am (on the right) with Alek (who is also the webmaster for this site), following a shoot here at the Josephine County range in Merlin, Oregon in 1998. Smoothbore guns shoot at 100 yards, rifled guns at 200 yards, and mortars at 150 yards. The black object at the right edge of the picture is a bowling ball mortar, with several “rounds” of ammunition. Always a crowd pleaser, these will throw a ball about three quarters of a mile straight up.A few other guns are still on the firing line behind us.
