Looking down-range near LaPine, in the high desert of eastern Oregon. The rifled gun (lower left) has just fired; you can see a cloud of dust rising behind the 200 yard targets indicating where the shot hit the ground (after passing through the target). The extreme end of the range has target stands at about 750 yards -- a real challenge!
