This half-scale six pounder smoothbore has just fired and, when the smoke has cleared, we’ll get to see how it did. The gun recoils about four feet when firing. Note the three-eights scale naval gun just to the right; it has recoiled completely off of its shooting platform. Just visible on the left is a replica of a Whitworth breech loading rifle with a 40 mm bore.
