Here I am with a half scale six pounder (referring to the weight of a round cast iron shot which fits the bore -- approximately 3 5/8”) built several years ago; some of the hardware is a little different from guns currently in production. This view does give a good idea of just how big a gun we’re talking about. A full scale field gun weighs over a ton and requires a flatbed trailer and a crew of at least four people to move; a half scale gun is big enough to be fun, and can be moved and crewed by one person.
