This Black Cap by Hat People is made with a Pendleton Wool that seems to be felted ~ the fabric is very dense and crisp. Given the density of this wool, and the fabrics natural resistance to water; this is one Black Hat that will keep you dry and warm in the rain. The band and the lining are made with 100% cotton.

If you are wondering about the various names occupying the lefthand portion of the page (Sports Cap, Stroker, Greek Fisherman etc.) these are some of the names associated with this hat style. Although cut and trim may vary from one cap to the next, the basic shape is the same. This was the first style Carol and I made in our Hat People beginings, 25 years ago. You can check out our original Hat Ranch on our Hat People History page (you will need to use your browser's Back Button to return to this page). Silver Creek was really more of a Wilderness Cabin than our present day Hat Ranch, but it was an incredible place to start!

The best way to determine your size is to measure your head with a cloth sewing tape. We determine hat size in inches of circumference. Hats are started, but they are not finished until we receive your order. We do this so we can properly size the hat to fit you. More on this subject can be found on our Ordering Information page. We're here at the Hat Ranch most of the time, so if you have any questions please call us during regular business hours, Pacific Standard Time, phone 1(888) 930 4287 or email is good too.
